a little butter
3-4 garlic cloves, crushed
2 C rice- uncooked
4 C water
1 1/2 tsp salt

Directions

Put oil and a little bit of butter in a heavy pan and heat. Add garlic and cook until golden brown. Add rice and fry until it begins to turn brown. Add salt and water and lower the heat. Cover and cook for 20 minutes without stirring. Add more water if needed. It should be dry and each piece separate when done.
