Easy Corn Chowder

This is so very, very yummy!

2 medium red potatoes
1 c. cubed cooked ham
1/2 diced red bell pepper
1/2 c. celery
1 tsp. butter/margarine
2 T. all purpose flour
1 can chicken broth (14 1/2 oz)
1 can fat free evaporated milk
1 can creamed corn
2 T. sliced chive (optional)
salt and pepper
bacon

Cut potatoes and ham in 1 inch cubes. Chop pepper, celery.
Heat butter over medium heat, add bell pepper and celery.
Cook and stir for 3-4 minutes or until crispy.
Stir in flour.
Heat until bubbly.
Gradually add broth, milk, corn, whisk until well blended.
Add potatoes and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, uncovered for 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
Stir in ham. Heat through. Remove from heat.
Stir in chives. Top with bacon.
