Tonight as I was cooking dinner, I was going to make spaghetti. But I wondered, "What would spaghetti sauce taste like on top of french bread"? Then I got to thinking I could add cheese. So I asked my mom if she thought that would be good and she said yes. So I tried it and my hubby and son raved about it.
1 whole french bread loaf, cut in to thick slices, and then halved
3/4 lb. ground beef
1 jar (28 oz) spaghetti sauce
Shredded cheddar and mozarella cheese
Preheat oven to 350. Brown ground beef. Drain. Add spaghetti sauce.
Put french bread slices on baking sheet. Take a spoonful of sauce and pour on top of bread slices. Sprinkle cheese liberally over bread. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese have melted and bread is crispy.
